Insulated with both 800-fill down and synthetic insulation the Heatzone 1000 offers exceptional heat on the coldest days. And if that wasnt enough Columbia went ahead and took it a step further by lining the jacket with a heat-reflective material so your body heat is re-directed back toward you so you stay even warmer. Since all that warmth isnt going to do you much good if youre wet the Heatzone has a two-layer waterproof breathable shell at the arms and hood and is treated with a water-resistant finish along the nylon body. The goose down is also treated to make it resistant to a little moisture too. The Heatzone 1000 really shines while skiing and snowboarding but will work great when you need something warm to wear when youre hiking or camping. The hood is compatible with skiing and snowboarding helmets and the pocket configuration consists of two hand pockets a zippered pass pocket and an internal security pocket for anything you need to keep close to the chest.
