Its nice to be easy to clean rugged climbs too which is why Northwave designed the Scorpius S.R.S. Mens MTB Shoe with a Jaws Carbon Reinforced sole plate and grippy rubber lugs to provide a killer combination of power flex and grip. The carbon reinforcement in the sole allows you to put loads of power to the pedals without ruining the flex you need for long-distance comfort and the rubber keeps you upright on techy off-the-bike sections. The fit and comfort of the Scorpius are on point too. It starts with the Performance Advanced footbed which sets your foot up in prime pedaling position and continues with the Integrated Heel System a heel counter that prevents slipping blisters and general discomfort. A ratcheting strap at the instep provides a firm fully adjustable closure and two hook-and-loop straps on the forefoot give you unlimited volume adjustment to eliminate side-to-side slop. The upper itself is made from PU which has been thermowelded to eliminate seams and outfitted with mesh inserts to keep your feet cool and dry on sweaty rides.
