Inside of that is a soft thermal lining that insulates further and its also very soft and comfortable. The sole is aggressively lugged and based on Diadoras Performance MTB CR sole with a stiffness index of 6.0 on a scale of 1-10. The engineers could have made is stiffer but for walking off the bike on slippery surfaces a little bit of flex is necessary for stable footing. The shoes fit profile is Diadoras Race Plus which is snug but not constrictive allowing you to wear thick socks if youd like and the entire system laces up with a Boa closure system making it very easy to dial in a comfortable fit every time you put them on even while wearing gloves.
