As evidenced by the Giro Hex Helmet protection doesn have to break the bank. The Hex is the ideal all-mountain helmet with protection and comfort rolled into one package. To start Giro In-Mold construction uses a hard polycarbonate shell fused to an EPS liner to provide protection from impact.
